Welcome to Troop 834 in San Ramon
Troop 834 was chartered in 1978 and is fortunate to have one of the best meeting locations of any troop in the area - in the hills off northern Bollinger Canyon Road. This unique setting provides ample facilities to conduct troop meetings, separate patrol meetings, and merit badge sessions; and includes plenty of outdoor space for a variety of troop activities and games.
Troop 834 prides itself in being a boy run troop with a focus on outdoor activities. The weekly meetings, outings, and periodic service projects are planned and conducted by the Scouts. Our many exciting outings include river rafting, camping (beach, mountains, and desert locations), hiking, backpacking, snow camping, bicycling, summer camps and much, much more! Every month we start a new merit badge.
Our traditional Scouting Program aims to build character, foster citizenship, and develop mental and physical fitness by reinforcing the Eight Methods of Scouting: Patrols, Advancement, Leadership, Uniform, Scouting Ideals, The Outdoors, Personal Growth, and Association with Adults.
