New! Camp Emerald Bay - June 24th-30th
- Back by popular demand, Troop 834 is heading to Camp Emerald Bay at Catalina Island.
- Catalina Island sits 26 miles off the Los AngelesCoast, where the camp offers a tremendous amount of activities in the warm climate and cool waters of Southern California. Scouts travel to Long Beach to ride a ferry over to the island for a week where they can choose to participate in many water sports..
- We only have one Troop meeting left on December 13th, 2011 to reach the minimum number of scouts. If you are interested in going you need to have the form filled out (find them on the web or at the shack) and a $200 check to Mr. Peterson by December 13th. If we don’t get enough people to make the minimums (leaders and scouts) we will need to cancel the trip.

New! Philmont - July 23rd - Aug 5th, 2013
- We have received notice from Philmont that we have been granted two crews for the summer of 2013. We have spots for up to 18 scouts for this wonderful backpacking opportunity. We will be on the trail for 11 days and 10 nights in the spectacular mountains of northern New Mexico (think Colorado and not New Mexico and you will have the right image). The scouts must be 14 or be 13 and have graduated the 8th grade to go on the outing, so if you are in the 7th grade now, you are eligible to go. We will be leaving on July 23 and returning on August 5.
- $100 deposits will be due February 21st. Total cost will be about $1,200 per person. We currently have six adult leaders interested in going on the trip. We can take up to two more, but the scouts will get the first opportunity. We will have more details in the near future, but we wanted to get people thinking about the trip. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Heath.
